There are five distinct phases of the game, in terms of HQ growth. As a new player, getting to HQ level 6 gets you started, and earns you basic privileges such as being able to use chat features, and see the leaderboard.
This guide focuses on the next major milestone, which is to get to HQ level 16 where you gain the use of the pit to mine rare earth. Along the way, you get gear and chips, unlock the ruins, and getting your gear factory to level 16 allows you to equip modules.
