uniquely identifies you to the P&amp;S servers.<br \/>\u00a0 Your &#8220;Character&#8221; is who you play as within the game.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In-game, when someone says &#8220;account&#8221;, most of the time they really mean &#8220;character&#8221;.\u00a0 However, one account can have multiple characters.\u00a0 The player is the person &#8211; under the service you used, and your account status should now indicate <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Safe<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"switching\">Switching Accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Before you do anything,\u00a0<strong>make sure your current account is bound<\/strong>, and that your Account Status indicates &#8220;Safe&#8221; sign at the bottom to create a new one.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"anotherdevice\">Access your Account from Another Device<\/h2>\n<p>Accessing your account from multiple devices is fairly easy.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_349\" style=\"width: 496px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-349\" class=\"size-full wp-image-349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-14.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"486\" height=\"642\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-14.png 486w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-14-227x300.png 227w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 486px) 100vw, 486px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-349\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this example, you decide that you want to play on your tablet, which has a larger screen and better battery life.\u00a0 Bind your account (1) on your phone.\u00a0 On the tablet, install P&amp;S (2) and go through the tutorial mission.\u00a0 At the end of chapter 1, switch accounts (3).\u00a0 You will get a warning that your current account may be lost &#8211; click continue.\u00a0 Now you can play the game on either device, but not both at the same time.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>To access your account from another device:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On your old (or current) device, bind your account.\u00a0 See above for details.<\/li>\n<li>On your new device, install P&amp;S.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to complete story chapter 1, which is the tutorial mission, before you can switch accounts.\u00a0 This takes about 5 minutes, and only has to be done once per device.<\/li>\n<li>Once you complete the tutorial mission, switch accounts in user center.\u00a0 See above for details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note that your old (or current) device still has access to the account, so you can play on either device, just not both at the same time.\u00a0 When you log in to your second device, it disconnects the first one.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tip<\/strong>: If your old device was lost or stolen, be sure to remote wipe (erase) it using Google or Apple websites respectively.\u00a0 Whoever has access to your phone potentially has access to your P&amp;S accounts.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"multipleaccounts\">Using One Device to Access Multiple Accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Accessing multiple accounts on one device is similar to using multiple devices.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_350\" style=\"width: 532px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-350\" class=\"wp-image-350 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-15.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"522\" height=\"652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-15.png 522w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-15-240x300.png 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 522px) 100vw, 522px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-350\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this example, you have two accounts, one on your phone (two characters), and one on your tablet (1 character).\u00a0 You decide that you want to use your tablet to play all three characters.\u00a0 First, always make sure BOTH accounts are bound (1) &#8211; each one will need a separate Facebook, Google, Apple, or Twitter account.\u00a0 Then (2) switch accounts in User Center on your tablet to switch between characters.<\/p><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure BOTH accounts are bound.\u00a0 Each will need a separate external account, such as 2 Google accounts, or 1 Google and 1 Facebook.<\/li>\n<li>On the second device, go to User Center and Switch Accounts to switch back and forth.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you switch to an account that&#8217;s in use on another device, the other device will be disconnected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"changebinding\">Changing the Account Binding<\/h2>\n<p>There are many reasons why you might want to change your account binding.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_354\" style=\"width: 328px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-354\" class=\"wp-image-354 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-17.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"710\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-17.png 318w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-17-134x300.png 134w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-354\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this example, you decide to get rid of your Facebook account. You unbind (1) Facebook, and bind (2) Google. Now your account is safe, and you can delete your Facebook account.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>To change your account binding:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to User Center (see pictures above) and click on Bind Account.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Unlink&#8221;.\u00a0 You should get a message that unbinding was successful.<\/li>\n<li>Click on Bind Account again, and then pick a new service or account to bind (see pictures above)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"handoff\">Hand off an Account to Another Player<\/h2>\n<p>Sometimes, life happens.\u00a0 If you have to stop playing for a while, the reality is that your account is going to get hit repeatedly during valiant, and if you are in a hostile state, it might get farmed unless you are there to shield it.\u00a0 Restarting a &#8220;dead&#8221; account can be a hassle and takes a lot of effort.\u00a0 In addition, your alliance has to either carry the dead might, or boot you, which could hurt the alliance either way.<\/p>\n<p>One option is to hand off your account to someone for safekeeping.\u00a0 They can keep it shielded, and at least do dailies while using it to help the alliance by running lairs and doing events.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_351\" style=\"width: 528px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-351\" class=\"wp-image-351 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-16.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"518\" height=\"674\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-16.png 518w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-16-231x300.png 231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-351\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this example, you will be unable to play for a couple of months, so you hand off your account to a friend.\u00a0 First, bind your account (1) to a throwaway google or facebook account.\u00a0 Then, give your friend the credentials (2).\u00a0 Your friend binds his account (3), and can then switch between the two accounts (4).\u00a0 When you start playing again, you can log in to P&amp;S using the throwaway account.<\/p><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Create a throwaway account on Google or Facebook.\u00a0\u00a0Unbind (unlink) your P&amp;S account from your main account, and Bind it to the throwaway account.<\/li>\n<li>Give your friend the credentials for the throwaway account.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Important:<\/strong>\u00a0 Have your friend bind his account before doing anything else!<\/li>\n<li>Your friend can now switch accounts between his main account and the one you gave him.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Tip<\/strong>:\u00a0 You don&#8217;t want to use your main facebook or google account, which could give someone else access to your e-mail, Facebook, or even your bank account!\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>A &#8220;throwaway&#8221; account is a Google, Facebook, Apple or Twitter account that isn&#8217;t linked to anything.\u00a0 Your &#8220;regular&#8221; account might be linked to e-mail, online banking, or shopping, and shouldn&#8217;t be given out to anyone &#8211; even if they are a trusted friend.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tip<\/strong>:\u00a0 Before you create a throwaway account, make sure you know the credentials (username and password) of your main account.\u00a0 Often, it&#8217;s easy to forget, especially if you stay logged in all the time.\u00a0 If you have forgotten, go to your platform&#8217;s password recovery instructions.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In general, to create a throwaway account, log out of your main Google, Facebook, Apple or Twitter account, then it should present you with an option to create a new one.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0 Sharing your P&amp;S account with another user may be against the P&amp;S terms of service.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"parking\">Tips for Parking an Account<\/h3>\n<p>Although slightly off-topic, if you need to take some time away from the game but don&#8217;t want to hand off your account, here are some tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let R4\/R5 know what&#8217;s going on.\u00a0 If it&#8217;s just a couple of weeks, you might be fine.\u00a0 If you DON&#8217;T let them know what&#8217;s going on, you might get booted &#8211; many alliances boot after two weeks of inactivity.<\/li>\n<li>Ask if you can park your account in a farm alliance.\u00a0 If your alliance has a farm alliance, transfer it there.\u00a0 If not, one of the other alliances in the state might let you park it in their farm.\u00a0 This is much better than being booted, after which, your troops will be killed, and you will be farmed regularly for resources.<\/li>\n<li>Mine as much Rare Earth as you can before you park.\u00a0 Rare Earth can be converted to resources in case you need to rebuild your army when you return.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a lot of unprotected resources, stash them in the alliance warehouse, especially if you won&#8217;t be around to shield during valiant.<\/li>\n<li>Move your sanctuary out of the way.\u00a0 For example, if you are near alliance buildings, and you plan to be offline for a while, it might be better to move toward the back of the alliance, away from the mud.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re not in an alliance, move toward the edge of the map.<\/li>\n<li>Write down your account number (see pictures above) or save off a screen shot.\u00a0 After being gone for a while, if you have problems getting back in to your account, this will help Customer Service to help you find your account and get back in to it.\u00a0 The account status screen also shows the state number and character name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"cantdo\">Things You Can&#8217;t Do With Accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Although P&amp;S has a robust account management system, there are a few things that are simply not supported.<\/p>\n<h3>Can&#8217;t: Transfer a Character to Another Account<\/h3>\n<p>Let&#8217;s say you have two devices, and an account on each device, but you want to move a character over to your &#8220;main&#8221; account so that all three characters are on one account.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-356\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"677\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-18.png 492w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-18-218x300.png 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 492px) 100vw, 492px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is simply not supported.\u00a0 Your character is always tied to the account on which it was created, and can&#8217;t be transferred to another account.<\/p>\n<p>A better solution is to bind both accounts, and then you can access all three characters on one device by switching accounts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Can&#8217;t: Delete a Character<\/h3>\n<p>You have a character that isn&#8217;t in a good state, or isn&#8217;t developing well, so you want to delete him and start over.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-19.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"380\" height=\"689\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-19.png 380w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-19-165x300.png 165w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, deleting a character is not supported.<\/p>\n<p>Option 1:\u00a0 Ignore him<\/p>\n<p>Option 2:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/ps-player-guide-sprint-to-hq16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Get him up to HQ 15<\/a> and fly him to another state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Can&#8217;t: Reset an Account<\/h3>\n<p>Although you can start a new\u00a0<em>character<\/em> on your existing account, and you can add an account, you can&#8217;t easily reset an account.<\/p>\n<p>Although your account number isn&#8217;t tied to the device ID of your phone or tablet, it does get cached on your device.\u00a0 Even if you uninstall the P&amp;S application and delete all of its application data, there is a little nibble of information left behind which ensures that if you reinstall it, you get the same account number.<\/p>\n<p>The only way I&#8217;ve found to generate a new account number is to wipe the device (erase all data), and then reinstall P&amp;S.<\/p>\n<p>If you use an emulator such as BlueStacks, you can create a new device instance and then reinstall P&amp;S to get a new account.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Clarification &#8211; Multiple Characters in the Same State<\/h3>\n<p>It is often stated that you can&#8217;t have two\u00a0<em>accounts<\/em> in the same state, but that isn&#8217;t accurate.\u00a0 An account can&#8217;t have\u00a0<em>two characters<\/em> in the same state, unless they fly them in from another state.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_357\" style=\"width: 756px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-357\" class=\"wp-image-357 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"746\" height=\"762\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-20.png 746w, https:\/\/www.zombiebbq.biz\/Zombie-BBQ\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Account-Management-Illustrations-20-294x300.png 294w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 746px) 100vw, 746px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-357\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Account #1 has two characters, one in State 100 and one in State 101, and this is allowed. <br \/>If the player also has Account #2 then both Account #1 and Account #2 can have a character in state 101. <br \/>Last, if the player has Account #3 with a character in state 102, he can&#8217;t create a new character E in the same state.
